Ranger Underdrive/Overdrive???

Why don't you see many people running these??? I know the $1500 price tag is a bit pricey but what if you could get one for cheap, would you run it ?? What would you be willing to pay for a used one?? Thanks in advance...

I paid 750 for one off of ebay, it was brand new and never installed. I love it. I dont use it to split gears under normal driving, but it gives you a lot more choices in different situations and of course it brought my rpms down to 2000 or so at 70 mph which was good for 1.5 or so mpg.
