Automadic transmission, so car was in park, or shouldn't be able too pull the keys out. Mom took car to get mail cause it was raining. Comes back (We live on a hill) parks, gets up on deck with keys in hand, see's 98 Status going over hill, jumps curve, barely missed tree, hits water well head, rolls up and out of ditch, hits a trailor house. As soon as I fix it, it will be traded off for a GM product !!! Worst part of it all, I wasn't home too see it. Damn, I really wish it would have plowed into that tree it barely missed !!!!!!!!! (NOTE; I'll go out and take a pic here in a few too post so y'all can see damage.)

Thats weird too, so it was in park, and it just rolled? That sounds like quality to me /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

locking pin could have broke, or if she has a boat load of keys they tend to grind away the ignition key a bit and it will not lock in the ignition, so she cold have pulled it out in N /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

[/ QUOTE ] It was in "P" when she got in it too drive it back up to the house. I told here to pull up the parking break from now on. I will be trading it off as soon as the body work is done. Gotta love full coverage insurence, just have to pay the $500.00 deductable.

At least you only have to pay 500.00 . It doesn't look that bad , but gut feeling says that it s going to cost a lot more than that to fix . We were quoted over 600.00 to replace our rear bumper after wife was rearended , and we had no visible damage /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Got 3 estiments today. $3,800.00 to $4,200.00 worth of damage, and it could be higher if they find more once they get it apart. The insurence guy said make a apointment at the cheapest bodyshop. I was hopeing they would have just totalled the POS out. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif There is alot of damage to the under carrage.
