i gotta raptor 350 that wont start. my buddy has one to so ive tried swapping the coil, mini computer, and stuff like that. check all the fuses and wiring and cant find anything obvious. it cranks and cranks but wont fire. i can empty fuel from the bottom of the carb after i crank for a while so i know its getting fuel and when i spray ether in there it doesn't make a sputter. i tried arcing the spark plug to the a arm. is that a good ground? im running out of idea. i'll apologize in advance if this posted in the wrong section or shouldn't be here

You need air, fuel, and spark to make it run. You have air and fuel.

Do you have a spark plug tester of sorts? Any metal on the motor is a good ground....the A arm may work, but may be partially isolated wiht rubber mounts...so i would say that is less than a great ground. Try turning it over with a plug grounded to see if it sparks, or get a tester at kragen.

There is a section for this thread but, it would be easier to use a small screwdriver to check for spark. leave the sparkplug in the engine, remove plug wire and insert screw driver into the wire and crank with the screwdriver near a good ground. also what year is this raptor. I have a warrior that had the same problem.

check the reverse switch wires, and connection. common problem on warriors/raptor 350's.

ive seen the contacts in the kill switch get stuck before, or some sort of neutral safety? type thing they might have, i only have experience with dirt bikes, not much with quads

its an 06 raptor. it was just totally outta the blue i road it one weekend and it was great then i went to move it a few days later to clean the garage and i got nothing. can u tell me where the magneto is located and if it is an expensive fix.i'll check the spark again. i also put a magnet up to the engine block and it didn't stick so i figured it would not be a good ground thinkin it may be aluminum. i wasn't quite sure
