I.v seen them self for 100 plus on epay. Would they be bolt in for a 78? I.m interested.

These are 1st gen and they will not bolt to your 78.
As for the OP, they are rare and they do go for some $$$ and if you do a search there was a guy selling some recently but he started a bit higher at $300 or so. I think it was sweetK30
This set was on craigslist for $290. I searched around and that seems like the ballpark price people were asking. 
It doesn't matter how RARE they are they are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them.

That kind of price is only for the "extreme bend" 1972 hooks. The hooks in this thread are the still very cool, but more common 69-71 hooks. I paid $150 for a set that was completely refinished and painted a few years ago when prices were even higher than today.
