rare find

OMFG only 3 made!!! :surepal:

I had no idea ProComp was supplying factory parts to GM in 1978

If memory serves, GM dealers could buy those vans converted by an "approved" vendor and they sold them as new "factory" vehicles. Some of the companies that did the conversions are still around. It was something like the NAPCO 4x4s from the 50s.

Drop it down a bit, put some 33's on it.. and I'd rock it. Though on that kind of rig, I'd rather have the regular side door instead of the slider.

Quadravan is one of the names; IIRC there was one more.

They had their own dealer network, but some might have been sold via GM dealers as well.

But OEM, no. Currently, there's an outfit called Quigley that does full-size 4WD van conversions ... doesn't mean that it's OEM by Ford.

first its not a true 1ton with a 44 front.

second the older comp. that made them thats now out of buss. used ford 44 fronts dont know why?

third thay used a custom made plate steel adaptor to a ford case.

forth its a (g) van not a (c) 2wd truck.

then the quadra drive was a vary uniqe item all in its self. i saw 1 on ebay 1 time. it was basicly a ifs front end that was 4x4.

and then there is quigley 4x4. thay have survived and grown a bit and come up with nes ideas and sell them. look here. http://www.quigley4x4.com/
