Quick question (hope it's not a dumb one)...

I'm replacing the rear tranny seal in my 700R4 (w/ NP241). Is the tranny seal in the end of the adapter connecting the t-case and tranny or in the end of the tranny? In other words, do I remove the t-case w/ adapter or just t-case?

Also, any tips/tricks to doing this. (Like removing the whole crossmember, or ?)

Thanks!

Every 700R4 I have seperated (NP207 in an S10 and NP208 in a Suburban) had only one seal on the input of the tcase. No seal on the back of the tranny. Easiest way to replace is to drop the tcase and leave the tranny in there. Then you should be able to drop it by hand or with a jack.
