started yesterday with the prep work, finished prep work today, painted it and put a coat of lacquer over it. needs more lacquer to look less splotchy, i also painted the sliders and bumpers while i had them off. /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif
i didnt do the tail gate yet /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif it was down and i didnt want to put it up with the top hanging that low above it. i'll do it later.

looks pretty /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif... now go scratch all that nice new paint off /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif but seriously how much did that cost in total material paint, tape, etc.

thinking once boby work is completed on mine i'll do the same thing or buy a cheap HVLP gun and give that a shot but i'm not looking to make it look awesome just keep cost down

so around 50 bucks or so, i had the black laying around already

Are the black bumpers your original chrome ones, or did you switch them for the plain ones?

If they're original, that's an interesting look... what'd you do, just primer and paint them? or did you hafta do anything special to them to get the paint to stick to the chrome?

there stock. and i just painted them, if it comes off i'll re paint them, and if its a problem i'll clean them up to stock form again /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Thanks for all the good words guys, i'm so excited, now when i get a dent off road, i can just whip out the spray can, and make it go away /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif
