Hey First Genners,
I just love the Dark Green GM used during the 67-72 erra on pick-ups & Blazers. Like GotLabs, I think it was him and his Jimmy that is painted this color? My fave
By chance does anyone know of a spray paint that is close to this color? Like Krylon or the like? Would be cool to get a dark green like that in a rattle can.
Thanks
Burt

Green Metallic

The only part left of this color is my dash, cowl area and bed sides. I can give you my color code on the sticker-150610- Dark Olive. You can borrow my ash tray or glove box to match it up if you want

I still have my original sticker from the factory on my glove box door so I would rather send you the ash tray. BTW the glove box door still has the orig. cup holders in it.

Let me know what you want to do??? Later J.

It seems like a flat color will be a pain to wash and keep somewhat clean.
the dirt and grease and stuff is harder to wash off a flat paint, than it would be with a satin, semi gloss, or a glossy paint. :thumb:

Thanks J
I'm looking to get in the ballpark for that color..no need to match it..If I was doing a resto then I would want to match it :)

Ya RB ~ I found that is true. The lower part of my K5 is painted rattel can olive drab and that stuff is extra flat and I just paint over the stuff that doesn't wash off hahahhahaaha

Just wash the windows and let the rest of the truck take care of itself (except for road salt, if you're like me and live where they use the horrid stuff).
