Rustoluem Camouflage "Sand" color. I think I like it.

If I can ever find the Krylon Camouflage in sand color anywhere in this town, went to 8 different places yesterday, I think I'll paint the other fender with the Krylon and see which looks better.

Everything I've been able to find says Krylon camo w/ "fusion technology" rattle cans are better than the Rustoleum camo.

The first pic represents the actual color better. Lighting is off in the second.

This is the paint I am planning on going with for my 77 K5. I am using a similar tone gloss tan for accents on things that will get too dirty for flat paint to handle. Thanks for the lead on the Krylon

I might give this paint a shot too. They have CARC paint replica colors and actual authentic military colors etc.

for shiggles, check to see if it's available in the gallon oil base. Roll on will look better but colors can be limited and might only be in gloss. Dunno

I painted my old K5 with the Krylon od green and tan and my sonoma with the tan. I like the spray nozzle on the kylon paint, gives more of a spread pattern. I just wiped the rig down with a scotch bright, then paint thinner, then paint. Held up pretty decent.

+1 to the krylon spray nozzle, for the same reasons. The rustoleum nozzle reminds me of a hose.

Staying with rattle cans cause they're simple and stupid proof. Rolling paint is less so.

I did my sixpack in the Krylon, including the sand. Walmart had it back in the day.

My one beef was that it is coarse. I know that's expected for flat paint, but it was COARSE, like 80 grit sandpaper, and trapped dirt and crud and skin something fierce. I once removed half of my elbow when I brushed up against the truck

If you don't mind the finish, I say have at it!

I'm painting my Willys wagon project using rattle cans of Rustoleum #241238 Dark Taupe, it is a little darker than desert tan, has a very low sheen finish. Very easy to touch up, easy to paint individual items or small areas without a lot of fuss.

The other good thing about their sprayer is that you can turn the little red tip 90* and make it a flat or vertical pattern.

Only thing I don't like about the tan is that it shows dirt & grease so easily. Keep that in mind the next time you are working on the motor, close the hood & have two hand prints staring at you lol. Otherwise, I like the color

Finally found a store that had the Krylon camo on the shelf. They didn't have the sand color, just Khaki. Decided to try it anyway. Sand color Rustoleum on the left, Khaki Krylon on the right. Don't like the Khaki.

Rustoleum White Gloss rattle can and roll on liquid held up on my Suburban even after I neglected to use etching primer on the bare metal. That camo looks good!
