Rausch Creek wheeling 5/20 carnage pics

thanks. shoulda just looked closer at the pics. that coulda been real ugly if you didn't stop when you did. at least you both had 60's.

this is where I jammed the cab and bent it. I have the diff hung up on the rock in the pic. I couldn't go forward or back. Julian pulled me with the winch for about a foot. We could have got it loose with Hi-lift but the hill is really steep.

Cool pics....:D

How did the "new" bed do, any improvement wheeling wise?

I spent all day saying to myself. "that would have rubbed the bed" I could make tighter turns. see so much better backing up. get to my tools really easily.

The back end is a lot lighter though. More changes will be made to the rear suspension. Longer shackles(I already have them), remove another leaf, and inboard the springs(brackets are already made). :eek1: should be able to get back the flex I lost. I just have to put in the time wrenching.

:doah: Now I know who that was. I looked at the phone, saw an 800 number and figured it wasn't anyone I wanted to talk to. I guess the service you use comes up on caller ID instead of your number.

Does that have a negative effect on the ride/flex? or in your case would it?

I think the truck rides decent. I think Chris would agree. He rode with me down the road and to get there we were blasting down one of the green trails pretty quickly. Don't tell anyone though. we were definitely exceeding the speed limit in the park. :shame:

I just want a truck that flexes like its on coils and rides like its on coils. But I'm gonna do it without spending any money on coils.

The picture of me underhood makes me look like an idiot. You had to catch me making that face. The rest of them make me look like a throttle junkie. thats not the case. It was a hard hill.

And yet more still....

(Yea, I had to throw one of mine in there, too...:D)

"Hey, you really can cook burritos on the exhaust manifold!"

:haha: maybe someone should start a lounge thread for a caption. then everyone could laugh at my goofy mug.

I think I spend more time under my hood when on the trail then I do at home. I can't seem break anything at home.
