My '78 is probably in need of a rewire. After reading the "Why do so many blazer catch fire". I started browsing and arrived upon this one. My truck is ac/heat from factory but it was all removed. I'd still line wiring for that ifI decide to put it back in.

I'm after a plug and play type deal.
Also my truck has no power windows, no power rear window.

Painless wire harness

Last time I did a painless harness, it wasn’t plug and play.

I contacted Painless when I was looking for a custom dash harness for my Blazer, they do not offer plug & play or customizable kits. The Painless kits they offered me were unfinished and if I wanted to add/delete circuits I could either buy a kit with more wires to use or zip tie back unused circuits (per their help desk).

I've seen a lot of people recommend American Autowire but I have not personal experience with them.

I used a guy on Facebook that goes by Jabin Wood / Harnessworx, I had a good transaction with him but after the fact I found he has some bad reviews on other forums. The harness he made for me was customized to my needs and plug & play, it looks like an OE harness.

I used American auto wire for my c10 but I couldn't find a wire harness from the that company that was for a '78 Chevy blazer and or truck of that era, I may have missed it.

Edit:
I found this

It is interesting that the business name is painless when they offer a unfinished harness.
