Burt, should be no problem on fitting to the front lip. /forums/images/graemlins/grind.gif /forums/images/graemlins/weld.gif
And as far as the snaps are concerned, the tops will not have any on them as he can’t be certain that all were installed the same from the manufacture. So even the fast-trac top guys will have to install the snaps themselves, he will include them with the top.

That is probably a good idea on the snaps. I've never dealt with snaps before, do you know if you need a tool to install them?

Just looked in the McMaster-Carr book and they sell a kit for $5.00, let me check with Billy as he might have a better ideal on how to get something to people to install the snaps. I’m going to order the kit today and have a look to see if it is what’s needed for the tops.

Ya I have reinstalled snaps on my top several times. It is real easy to do. Orchard Supply Harware sells them too. Basically it's a foot with a driver. You put the shinny snap in the foot then tru the fabric, slid on the snap part and put the driver on the end and SMACK it with a hammer. Just like a rivit. Super easy to do.

Yes Tony no snaps or holes for the snaps are needed. I don't even need the harware. I have a pile already

Find out what kind of $$$cost we are looking at OK.

All my funds are in my BBC build up but I would love to squezzzee this into my budget if I can.
Tell your buddy he is /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif The MAN!!! /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif

just got the snap kit in and it has everything needed to install the snaps, so $5.00 will do the job. Missed Billy last night so tonight I'll go beat on his door and get that top so I can post better pics...

Colors! /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif

I like the "Heather Beige". I like the canvas look it has and it should go good with the O.D. Green paint that the K5 is going to get. The lighter color might be cooler as well

yep, the black is hot today... /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif
driving around today and when sitting at a light it does tend to warm up under the black top...you've got to be hot down south too...

Burt, need to know how how the ends of your front soft-top hooks to the truck. Do you need it to roll over the lip like mine or just follow the lip...this pic is right at the end of the windshield lip...
abq.sized.jpg

Just follow the lip and leave about 1" extra pass the end of the lip. I have a very small bracket that has a snap on it that is vertical to the window. The idea is the end folds and snaps, Not a big fold only about 1". I think if he simply follows the lip all the way to the end add 1" then hem it up. I might have a pic....I can allways take a pic if needed too...I'll go look for one...
