Is this the right price? With this, all I need are shocks and I'm ready to go? Seems too good to be true. Somebody help me out. :eek1:

edit: just priced out shocks at $255, I guess it makes sense. Still that's a pretty cheap lift - $365 shipped!

First off, sorry for the f'd up retarded thread. . . I'm special! :haha:

I know rough country has a bad rep as being cheapy chitty lifts, arguably better nowadays. I assume that rep is on their springs, but what about their shocks? Specifically, the upgraded Nitro 9000 shocks. Anybody run these and hate/love em? If I can get front & rear tuff country springs and rough country shocks (cheaper than eithers lift kits) it should make a pretty good ride yeah? Opinions welcomed. . .

The kit you listed is a component package, put it all on and you'll be the same height :D

I looked up the components on their website and those are for a 4'' lift. Model #14711. Did I get something screwed?

That looks like a 4" lift kit to me. If it was stock...Why does it come with raised steering arm and brake line extenders?? Also the front springs have too much arch for stock.

I've got the Nitro 9000's on Big Ugly and love them. Best value in bolt on shocks short of the $50 range and up stuff.

are you asking if that's a good price for a complete lift (including springs) or just for an install kit?

that looks like its all the parts to install springs (u-bolts, plates, steering arms, etc). that's a decent price for an install kit.

i bought the "kit" several years back, then added the extended brake lines and dropped steer arm, was somewhere around that total, don't remember that far back,,,

but as far as Rough Country lift springs, i dunno, these people complaining that they ride really rough, must live somewhere where the roads are not maintained all that well.

they did ride alittle still at first when i put them on, i messed with some things, shocks, even had then ship me the upgraded shocks and after a few weeks it did settle down and was more comfortable, very firm, but not harsh.

Then one day i decided the "frim" was too stiff, so i removed one of the lower leaves from the front pack and now it rides pretty nice, still alittle firm, but it's a lifted, solid axle suspension. I deal with it, and am not complaining for the price i paid for it.
