Going with the Jet Performance Quadrajet.

Shall I go with the stage 1, which is essentially a stock version, or the stage to, which they recommend for street/strip, tow vehicles?

I love my SMI carb.

All I had to do was tune the mixture screws and idle when I put it on the Blazer. It's been running great ever since.

I ended up ordering the Jet Stage 2, ended up being cheaper anywho, as I had $30 summit bucks
