Ok, I bought this 82 K30, no motor perfect body and new running gear. I am trying to get all the engine compartment wiring, ect. ect. ect. done so I don't have to much screwing around after I install the SB 350,(it had a BB454). Now to the question, if you're standing in front of the grill and you're loooking at the engine bay, just above and to the left of the brake M/C is a electrical wiring block with 2 stud and nut connections on it mounted to the firewall. I see one wire coming into it on from the drivers side, but the passenger side of the connection has nothing on it. also there are 2 wires coming from under it, that go towards the passenger side,(I think) with what looks to be fusible links attached to them, but then they come together to one single ring terminal. What am I missing and where do the wires go? I'm not a moron, I hope, but I don't have any real good WD's to help me figure this out. Any help would be appreciated.

That is your hot junction point. The wires with the fusible links go to the starter. The other wire goes to probably something hot at all times like certain spots on the fuse panel. Trace it and see where it goes. I have seen them wired differently as that is a common spot to tap into for constant battery power.

I know my starter goes through there. A nut was loose and therefore not making a good connection. I couldn't get the starter to engage until I tightened it up.

Mine's an '86.

Cool, thanks Gents. By the size of the ring it must hook directly to the solenoid where the battery cable goes. I feel stupid as $hit, but I figured I'd ask. I was kinda leaning that way, but was totally unsure. Thanks again !!!!
