Real mechanics needed

Probably a good idea. Couldnt hurt any.

I have a new plan of action. Tomorrow im going to borrow a pressure tester for the coolant system. I have to order the other coolant test set so i figure i may as well try this first since it is free.

If it tests out ok then i am going to look into the ignition coil. For the 100 dollars i may just pay it out of pocket to avoid dealing with the dealership.

Sounds like a good plan! :waytogo:

Even though there are four individual wires? One going to each plug.

Imagine one of the oils. One post is a positive and tbe other is a negative. 1 and 4 share a coil and 2 and 3 share a coil.

1 and 4 essentially fire at the same time, through 1, then back to the coil through 4. 1 being TDC on compression, then 4 being on TDC of exhaust.

You may have the miss figured out. But still curious about the coolant loss.

You really need to hook up a scanner to this thing though, It's obd2, it'll tell you quite a bit as to what's going on actually. If the coil pack is bad, it will give you a multiple misfire reading/code.

waste spark system. fires on matched cylinder on exaust stroke to finish off any unburnt fuel before it goes to the tail pipe.

thats why we asked about the coil pack being 1 unit like a dist system or multi pack like you have.

i have seen lots of the multi go bad over the years.

and toss the rest of the wires on it since you have them.

did you find the source of the coolant leak?

On the way home now with a pressure tester to see if i find anything. Im keeping my fingers crossed that it hold pressure. Id rather deal with an ignition coil or something external then a cracked head or head gasket

No the CEL is not currently on. It has been though

Be sure to check all the hoses and heater line connections near the coil pack.

I wish you the best of luck!

thank you

i hate to sound like a dunce but does anyone know how to pressure test this vehicle. I see no radiator cap on top of the radiator. can't find much online either.

This is why suzuki should stick to quads and dirtbikes. my little 1991 rm125 runs like a champ

all newer vehicles take a specific cap adaptor now adays to pressure up a coolent system.

and just cause light non on dont meen no codes. there stored and or under pending code list .

Does it hok up to the expansion tank? I didnt see anything where a cap could screw onto on the radiator

if its got remote tank with more than 1 hose to it then there is no longer a rad cap . its all threw the tank now adays.

If there is only one hose going from the tank to the radiator, you will need to remove that hose and run your tester to the hose that goes directly to the radiator.
