Reality check??

I found a 84 K5 locally, two tone paint,ralleys with 31`s,factory rear 10 bolt locker,350,208,700R4,dual shocked,silverado package.No dents or rust,inside typical seat wear,headliner falling down,still had the O/E radio cassette even. The bad...3.08 gears WTF..why must they build ****e like this,Id have been packin wood if it had 3.73`s cause I can swing a regear for some time.. would this even pull 31`s OK?

IF it is a good price then pick it up. I have been running 35's with 3.03's for a couple years now, its not some amazing power house, but it has lasted me until now. Just went to one ton gear with 4:56's.

When i bought mine it had 33s and 2.73s(yes 2.73s) and it wasnt a drag truck but i still got around. I had to leave it in 3rd in my 700r4 so that it didnt burn it up. To bad the previous owner didnt, so i went with a SM465 and now i dont have to worry about it.

how much is he askin? try to use that to your advantage. let him know you dont like the gears and it will cost you to chagne him and try to knock the price down a couple hundred. you never know, he may go for it

would be good on the interstate. cruise at 90mph and still turn 2500 rpm
