Really dumb Warn M12000 questions.

I'm having some trouble with my M12000 and need some answers. The cable is supposed to wind onto the bottom of the spool correct? When you receive the winch, the clutch lever should be on the front correct? That means, when looking at it from the front, the motor should be on the right and the gears should be on the left, correct? Thx

Looking at the front the solenoid will be on the driver side and the handle is on the passenger side.

I thought Warn always put the engage/disengage handle on the driver side (low profile design)?
