Rear 10b locker work in front 10b??

I know the ring gears and carrier are the same size but I never see the 10b lockers listed as front or rear, I know the rear has C-clips so im notsure how the locker would work. But I need to know if the rear 10b locker will work up front.

yep, works in either end. only difference is you dont use the c clips.

Yeah, if they are both 30 spline axles! Most 10 b fronts other than post 89 are 28 spline. Know what you have before you start.

was the rear ever changed?? I thought it was 28 spline just like the older 10b fronts.

There are 30 spline rear axles too but they didn't start till 89 either. So if you have a 28 spline front then you probably have a 28 spline rear too.

well crud, I found a guy that has 2 to bolts that have lockrites and detroit ez lockers in them but they are 30 spline since his truck is a 90', so it looks like ill be getting his axle shafts also The only thing I dont like about that is it might be harder to find 30 spline axles since they were only made for a few years. I guess if I cant find a spare axle I can just carry my 28 spline stuff and if I break one then I will just have to wheel open on 28 spline.

This is the situation I'm in also. I'm having a hard time finding spare 30 front shafts.

Ok I'm not even joking anymore. I have an '89 and a 10b front so if someone wants the shafts PM me and when I remove the shafts I'll make sure they're 30 spline and send 'em out.
