Rear 9012 and exhaust setup pictures

BTW - what are you referring to about the "Fo$d shock tower". I must have missed something........

If you get the front shock towers from a 1980 F-250, they are long and can be cut down to just about any size you want and bolted to your frame, that way you can run the extended length Rancho 9012's.

Anyone know what the longest rancho 5000 shock is?And long and how much travel does the 9012 have?I have the 5000s in front right now and really don't see the need for adjusting the shock on my rig.Keep it simply is my moto.Brady

5012 is the longest 5000 series shock. The 12 is the designator for the length, so the "12" is the same length for the 5000, 9000, and now defunct 7000 series Rancho shocks.

Thanks for the clarification on the Fo$d F-250 front............one more thing. Are you going to use them up front as a sort of "shock hoop"? THAT would be nice, the last time I priced a shock hoop setup it was over $300.

Hey Steve, looks great!!!! I like the way you did the shocks. Why did you deside to change from the stock way?
Is there a reson that you mounted them with the shaft up? Are you adding the remote to the shocks, if you are wouldn't it be better to keep the line up out of the way. If I remember right that should be the shock length for a 4" lift? Is the upper shock hoop welded in, or is it a bolt in model! Is it something that is custom made or you baught?

Stock length shocks were limiting my spring travel.
I mounted them with the shaft up because that is the way Rancho designed them to work.
Yes I am adding the remote.
The line will be fine, I will run it on the center of the axle and up with the brake line in the center of the diff that has never been hit off-road.
The 9012 shock is not even close to being short enough to run with a 4" lift in the stock location.
I had the shock mount top and bottom custom made and installed, it is all welded in.

Steve, is that hoop you made in the rear made of tubing or a bent bar? (my guess is tubing.) What diameter is it? Approximately how close does it come to your body at the top? Thanks.
