I have a 1990 Suburban Silverado with rear A/C. I removed and rebuilt the whole heater box and A/C assembly , both in the dash and in the engine compartment. The reinstall went well except I have 1 part leftover and I have no idea where it goes. There is a yellow wire and orange wire that come from the passenger compartment through the firewall in a grommet just to the driver's side of the heater/A/C assembly. The wires are about 1 foot long and terminate in a connector. A HVAC resistor plugs into the connector. The problem is that I have no idea where this connector/resistor goes. I assume that like the main A/C resistor, it should be installed somewhere in the A/C case, but I don't have any holes left over to put it in. According to my Chevy wiring diagrams, I think that this is connector C124A and resistor, which are mounted on the "rear A/C resistor block", obviously part of the rear A/C on a Suburban. Any ideas?

I'll post a picture in a bit.

the rear fan resistor goes in the inboard side of the a/c box in the engine bay. You'll see a rectangular raised boss for it.

Replacing mine this week. I got my entire a/c system up abd running yeasterday. Last piece is the rear resister pack. It is located in the engine compartment, on/in the a/c housing right next to where the wires come the the dash. Easy and quick, two screws.

You can see it in this pic................

Just to the left of the trans dip stick, at the bottom of the pic.
