Wow I am tired i helped a friend pull a broken 10 bolt axel out of his 91 pickup.that was my first time ever doing this type of thing.i didnt relize how hard it really is.we had a impact wrench but that didnt help much.we couldnt get the u-bolts out and the impact wouldnt do it.so i cut the u-bolts with a angle grinder and a cut-off disk, and that chewed up 2 disk just for one side.
if you guys want pics of the axel out of the truck i will try get some tomorrow.

Sorry just had to share

um.... axle.

thats all. congrats on your first axle pull.
i had a floating burb for about a couple of a days.
it wasn't too hard to get it off. just a lot of penetrating lube.
remember when you begin to work on your blazer to have a lot of it near you at all times.

next time sawzall the u-bolts off. Your not going to use them again anyways. My buddy and I pulled a dana 44 at the junkyard for his cherokee. Took us about 20 minutes. And we used a hacksaw instead of a sawzall

thats pretty quick.was trying to get one of them off in one piece for a size reference.

like i said use a angle grinder with cutting wheel we ran out of cutting wheels so gotta pick some up tomorrow.we still gotta cut the other side.

Just use a grinding wheel... the 1/4" thick cutting wheel =))
