Rear axle dead

When it rains it pours. Just when I was getting ready to get another motor and put a lift and bigger tires on, my d#mn rear axle bites the dust. The mechanic said there was bearings and crap laying in the bottom of my pumpkin and the main gear is shot. With this new dilema I was wondering if any of you have any advice on what I should do/get about the axle? Thanks

no bio? i guess it was a ten bolt. upgrade to anything but a ten bolt. all depends on cash flow and truck intentions.
