I noticed something leaking down my tires about a month ago. I took my tire and and drum off and inside was full of grease. I'm guessing this is the seal for the axle thats gone bad. How hard is it to replace it? ANy special tools? DO you have to take the brakes off?
Thanks
Evan

its realy easy to do im asuming you have 10bt/d44 all you have to do is pull the axel shafts pry the seals out tap the new ones in and reinstall the shafts

Yes, you need to take the brakes off, they are probably contaminated with oil, and even a little bit ruins the pads, so you should replace them.
