Alright guys, my continual slow upgrades are progressing.
I have a rear axle from a 2004 Silverado on the way, it's going in my 88 Suburban. I'd like some confirmation on the spring mounts.

Everything I've read says the NBS spring pads are 49" apart, and the 1/2 ton square chevys are 42.5 inches apart.

The '88 rear should be 64' at the wheel, and the '04 should be 68" which should put my wheels perfectly spaced out.

Can you guys confirm that info?

If it's correct I just need a set of spring pads 3.25 inches in from the 04's and I'm good to go. The axle is coming COMPLETE, even the emergency brake cables with forward mount.

42.5 is correct on the spacing for your truck not sure on the other stuff.

Best thing to do is still to center in the truck. Best also to set pinion angle in the truck. Takes a couple hours but I think it's the best way to go.

I actually put the pads on by measurement with a light tack. Put it under the truck grind the tack off and start measuring. I tack the perches on the bottom side to prevent the tack from preventing side to side movement
