Rear Bds Springs Angle Shims?

A buddy of mine just bought some rear bds springs and they have angle shims just wondering why? I thought only fronts took angle shims by the way they are 4".

Pretty common to shim the rear ( or angled blocks ). It's all about proper driveline geometry. Most every rig is different, you do what it takes to avoid vibration.

i have seen 4" lifts with axle shims and transfer case drops.

Cool thanks guys for the clarification. I know the blocks are angled and since these are leaf springs with integrated shim I thought it was weird.
