I was doing some digging on my 86 Jimmy, and removed the rubber matting in the back by the tailgate, only to find some rust eating away at the edge of the bed floor. The rest of the bed is clean, so I can only assume that the dried up rear window leaked seal, and water sat under the damn rubber matting and started to eat away at the edge of the bed. I've been looking, and cannot for life of me find a rear bed replacement panel that suits my needs. I only want like a 6in deep panel, since the rust is only at the edge where the ribbing of the bed ends.

I found something like what I need for a first gen blazer, but since it's first gen, I don't know if it'll work. Can anyone tell me if it'll work?
Here is the piece I'm talking about:

Search patch panels for c10 truck beds. You should be able to cut one up and make it work.

Here's what I did back in August in that area. The link is to my build page where I fixed that area. You are going to have to pull that trim piece in order to see what you have going on. I cut all mine out and cleaned up the original sheet metal and put it back after I laid down some good paint on on the exposed surfaces. From the factory GM did not treat in of the seams on these trucks and so they rust the worst in these areas. From looks of the picture I think you can clean up and reuse what you have. That should save you the trouble of buying new floor pans that definitely won't fit for beans.

LMC sells the rear floor sections. If you only want the back edge, just cut that portion out and use it. You can't use the ones for a pickup truck, because the ridges don't taper down at the back like a K5. (Use one of the leftover sections to make an access door for the fuel pump)
