In my '90 Jimmy, my rear seat won't stay locked down. It latches at least part way, but a little shove causes it to release. I stripped everything to bare metal and sprayed a fairly heavy coat on but I don't think it is thick enough for it to make the seat unlatch.
Any ideas? I'm more than a little puzzled at this point.
Thanks

try jumping on the seat. mine wouldn't latch once and after i did that it worked, but i also had some trash under there i didn't see

Make sure the side support strut thing is not getting in the way when you are putting the seat down. I know mine gets in the way sometimes and wont let the seat lock down.

Randy, thanks for the idea. I guess I'm too dumb to try the simple stuff first. Its down and locked. Thanks man, and thanks to you Blue and Ray. I'll check the items you mentioned when it's light tomorrow.

The same thing happened to me. I tried cleaning it, took the latch apart, etc. It was messed up for the longest time and when i figured it out... :doah: :doah: :doah:
