Hi friends,

month ago I made the Blazer rear brakes and wonder why after some Km my rear right brake heats up the wheel and drops the speed.
Now, after changing lines, master and shoes, finally I realize that left and right are not the same adjusters. Today I got the rockauto parts from Carlson factory with new springs, adjuster and lever. The levers are stamped R and L for right and left and now my question to get 100% safety : " Has the L adjuster the CW and the R adjuster the CCW thread, is this right as packaged ?" Thanks for answer and excuse my stupidity.

looking at the differential, right will be counter clock wise and left will be clock wise. this will adjust the shoes out. Just go the opposite way to adjust them loose.

I don't know if I have ever paid attention to which was which. I just make sure that the lever adjusts them out when installed.
That way I don't have to remember one fact, just make sure the brakes work properly.
The lever pushes down on the adjuster wheel to tighten the brakes.

If they’re stamped L and R then the L goes on the driver’s side and R goes on the passenger side - assuming your Blazer has the steering wheel on the left side. :dunno:
Otherwise, reverse what I said.

yes Sir, germans have also the steering on the left side, not the wrong side like in GB
