I can not get the brake drums off my 96 3/4 ton suburban how do u guys get them to come off

The shoes may have worn a groove into the drum...try to adjust the shoes looser...or try beating it with a mini sledge.

I had this same problem on my 86 k5. As said before, the shoes wore a groove in the drum. to get it off I beat it w/ a BFH while a friend and I also pryed on it w/ flathead screwdrivers stuck in between the drum and backing plate.

i had to beat the drums off my 14bff with a BFH too. wore a groove in the drums too. you will probably need to get a new hardware kit though

I second the hardwear kit. Best to replace all those springs and stuff while youre in there.
