rear brake pads

i just starting putting my new rear pads on when i noticed that the shoes are different. One shoe has more pad than the other, my question is does the one with more pad go in the front or rear of the backing plate?

All vehicles that have drum brakes are like that.

This was always easy to remember, my dad is an avid Hot Rodder, so I think of it as that, big tire in the rear, small tire up front, hence, big shoe in the rear, small shoe up front.
