on the top of my 14sf diff, the rear hard line runs into this "block" with threaded hard lines shooting out to each caliper. my question is, the thing is leaking like a sob and i think i need to replace it (all the lines are nice and tight).

is there something else i am missing? or should i just replace it, so whats it technically called?

are you talking about the load valve that has a bar from the axle to this unit on the frame bracket?

if so bypass it and junk it. thay are no good and not worth your time.

if you are talking about the hose that then tee's off to each line that will be just the flex hose.

its actually hard lines that run to each caliper (brake disc conversion) and a hard line that runs up front to the booster. is there a way to bypass this? or another part to use?

I'm slightly confused... there should be a flex line leading from a hardline on your frame down to your diff, there should be a "T" at this end of the flex line where the hardlines run from it to the calipers (Preferably with flex lines at the end to run to the calipers since calipers move back and forth slightly.) If there's an actual block on the diff it should be the load adjusting one mentioned above with a little lever or something on it. As he said it's not worth fixing and you can just junk it.

Not really sure how lines ran into the load adjusting block, so you might have to get a new flex line for the rear to screw your hardlines into.

If none of this made sense just snap some pics and post up.:haha:

Done deal. Pics added....

I see... yeah NAPA might have one, or they make a flex line with that on the end so it's all once piece like I was talking about.:dunno:

thats a home brew cob job line.

not a barke porp valve unit.

i would just get a new flex hose for the rear and redo it if need be.

can someone link me to a page? maybe summit or have pics of a "clean" setup?

I bought mine from offroad design
wtf? first post how do you load pic's

you have to be a member if im correct :). Im gonna check ord's site now...

You can get one from a parts house for a whole lot cheaper... I can't give you a part number though...

Thats the one i used on my 88 1 ton, worked great. I bought a kit from NAPA a couple of years ago for another project for about the same money.

Napa part number is 38068, it is 18.25" long with a 7/16 fitting on one end and two 3/8"s fittings on the other. Same as what you show in the pics.
