Rear bumper/ tire carrier

but can you imagine trying to put a 40" tire onto a swing out? .

Yes, I know this would be a huge problem I thought about. I'm going to brain storm on this for a bit, I know I will come up with something.

how often you taking tire on and off? I mount my 40s on my outfit while its on the trailer. Man up and lift it or get a quick hand, I don't think installing tire on carrier should be too big of deciding factor, do whats easiest, strongest and what you like the look of.

i think it should be something to consider.

if my wife and i are out on a camping trip using back roads and whatnot (i.e., not a hardcore wheelin trip), and i lose a bead or pop a tire, there's no way I'd get the busted tire back onto the swing-out carrier - or it would at least be VERY difficult. so, for me the swing-down/stinger style is the best bet. plus it just looks plain cool and seems like it could be a great departure-slider... :D

Yup, unfortunately you never get to pick when you'll need to use you spare. :wink1:

If it is trailered to and from the trails and always wheel with a buddy (which you should be doing anyway) you might be OK. Otherwise I'd want to make sure I could get the tire on and off on a muddy side hill or off comber in the rocks. :waytogo:
