Is there a section here for bumpers? In the middle of a rear bumper build, and looking for ideas, particularly swing out tire carrier, latches.

Best bet would head to the build section and start digging. But no, nothing specifically for bumpers.

Don't think it of it like latching a gate. Try to tie the carrier as solidly as possible against the bumper. This prevents rattles, a shaking tire and fatigue at the hinge. I was running a screw-down design with a T-handle for many years but for convenience I recently swapped that out for DE-STA-CO # 341-RSS.

Mine has proven durable and very reliable over the years. The side protection has saved my corners more times than I can count. The business that made this is no longer around but it can be easily built.
My homemade junk
Any chance you have some schematics you can share for this? I'd love to build something similar and it would save a ton of time if the paperwork was already done. Then i'd only need the boss' signature to guy buy 200lbs of steel!
