So I am now looking at replacing body mounts. The guy I purchase the truck from has replace all body mounts except (2) for some reason. The two that have not been replace are just ahead of the rear axle. Looks like there is a old rust thread piece hang down and some what of a rubber mount up there.

I will try and post pics when I get home.

The question I have is how do i go about replacing these two mounts. Do I need to remove the carpet in the back area to gain access to the bolts? or are these treaded up from the bottom into a pocket? How do you lift the structure to install the new mounts. It seem odd that these are the only two not replace.....So I am assume there must be a reason....

He probably tried to replace them but couldn't get the bolts out so he gave up.
You need to lift the carpet up in back. The carriage bolts are tack welded to the floor so you need to carefully grind the tack weld off AFTER you loosen the nut. You should be able to lift the rear of the bed up enough to maneuver the old mount out and the new one in without loosening any other body mounts.

OK sounds good, what body mount is this considered so I can look to source replacement bolts and mounts? Or even beter if someone has part numbers to share that would be great....

thanks
