So like an idiot I pulled form my stock rear crossmember and bent it all up. I had straightened it out but it wasnt perfect so i cut the crossmember out. The frame height is 4-1/2 tall so I was just going to go get a 4-1/2 by 1 or 2 inch thick piece of square tubing and bolt that in, in place of the stocker. Any objections to me doing this?

I was also going to bolt a receiver to this so I have a legitimate point to tow from. Too rigid isnt a bad thing that far back in the frame is it?

Idk I guess no one out there has ever replaced that garbage rear crossmember. I'm just gonna go pickup a piece of square tube. If they only have 4in I'm going to use 1/4in plate on the top and bottom to make it hug the frame for a tight fit.
