Mocking up d70, I plan on running cv driveshaft and am in process of rolling diff up but by the time I get shaft angle to about 20* the pinion is at top of axle tube. I know it can't angle up that high. Any ideas?
I don't see anything regarding pinion angle in that article. Are you running a doubler or something that is shortening the driveline? When you roll the pinion up, the drain plug also rises, so essentially you end up overfilled. I'm sure you want a little higher oil than stock, but definately not a completely filled pumpkin. I think the ring gear flings oil out to the front bearings, even when the angle has increased. Maybe call HAD and see what they recommend?
