Maybe you misunderstood my question ...

You can build something as complex as that ring with those fine tolerances but you couldn't make the brake bracket, you had to buy that from someone else?

i understand your q now, I bought brackets first just because I didnt want to at the time, I changed my mind after I had problems with the brackets I bought, then I made my own.
