My disk brakes keep getting really hot and eventually lock up on me. My question is does it matter where the caliper is mounted. I did the disk brake conversion on the 14 bolt myself and am wondering. I read an artical on this page that said the caliper had to be facing the back of the vehicle. Could this be causing my problem. Would the lack of proportioning valve cause the brakes not to release. Thanks for the help

I am going to do that sometime and put in a adjustable prop valve (I already bought one but I think I'm going to put it in the front line of my s-10) but it works just fine just bolting them up for me and a bunch of other people on this sight.
