rear door key

sometimes a dealer can cut a key by using the vin...i think that it may only apply to 88 and up vehicles, but wouldn't hurt to ask,

i had 1 made that way for a 92 astro van that had setup over a yr and was given to me that ran, but they had lost key, i only wanted the 4.3 out of it, but i spent $20, had the key made and drove it home!

Remove the lock cylinder from the door, take it to a locksmith and have a new key cut. I did this a couple yrs ago on my old suburban and it was only like around $12 for the new key.

Its a slight pita but still very doable.
Remove access panel, roll window out (make sure to support it from hanging), unplug connector, remove 2 nuts that hold the key housing(chrome piece on outside of tailgate). Once in hand, just take the complete unit to a locksmith.
