i just bought the wife an 83 k5 blazer.( i have a 74 with 81 front clip,6 pt cage, 205,sm465, 14 ff, d44, 4.10's, 350 hp sbc350, 6" suspension, 38.5x16x16.5 tsl's)

her truck also has the sm465 in it. my question is the rear drive shaft does not have a slip yoke? is this normal? it has a np208 and 10 or 12 bolt not sure. the rear drive shaft just has ujoint up top and u joint on bottom??? is it sposed to be like this?thanks for your help!

If there's no slip yoke at the t-case output, the driveshaft should contain it's own.

I have the complete 83 sm465/np208 combination in the garage , came out of the frame original . The shaft is supposed to have a slip yoke on the transfercase end .

Being as old as it is it could of been swapped out at some point in time .

Take a pic of the case an shaft and post it up :k5: :k5:
