I have an np208 with a slip yoke and I just installed a 14blt in the rear. Untill I can afford a diferent xcase with out a slip yoke I would like to clean up my existing rear drive shaft. I see how to get out the ujoint on the differential end out, there are snap rings but on the tcase end I don't see how to get it (ujoint) out? Can anybody help me? Also what ujoints will I need and is this something I can do myself, I don't have a press? In case it matters I have an 81 sub with 3" springs in front and a DIY4x shackle flip in rear. 14blt rear 10blt front. 350 - 350th - 208 with slipyoke.

Either become a member and search/find way more info than you'll ever need, or buy a manual (same price), or take the shaft to a drive shaft shop. :D

I was gonna say "search", but...................:D

the u joint most likely has nylon to hold it in, u can see on the ears of the driveshaft(where the u joint is) there are little nylon stubs where they injected it, just get a torch, and put even heat on the ears/u joint cap and the nylon will spit out slowly, make sure its all out and hammer or better, you a press....dont bend the the ears...the new u joints will come with clips to replace the nylon..hope this helps.....
