So I got off the phone with The local rear end shop and I told them that all I want to do is install a locker in my eaton rear end with out replacing the bearings and so on, they told me that if I'm NOT changing the ring and pinion that the shims should be the same and that all I need to do Is swich the carriers and put it back together. So my ? for you is dos this sound right? thanks max

If its a drop in locker where you install a locker into the same carrier, yes. If you are replacing the carrier no. Then youll need to go thru the whole set up and adjusting process.
