Rear end going?

I think my rear end is going on my 87 Blazer. Does anyone know any tell tale signs? It's making a rumbling noise at higher speeds when I take my foot off the gas or when I apply the brake. Any help is appreciated.

Best thing to do is pop the cover and take a look. If you find excessive amounts of metal in the bottom of the housing or broken parts that's a good place to start.

Check your u-joints, driveshaft and t-case. They can all make noise that "moves" around.

Thanks everyone, I think I'll be replacing those u-joints this weekend. May as well start with the cheapest and move on up, I'll pop that cover off as well and take a look. Thanks again!
