Ok, time for another thread from me. My rear 10 bolt is grindy.
I noticed today that when I'm backing the Blazer up, I hear grinding, not like gear grinding, but like a metallic squeak, like dragging a refrigerator across a concrete floor grinding noise.

It's only when the truck is going backwards too, If its going forwards it is completely silent. I can get up to speed going backwards and put it in neutral, and the metallic squeak stays, so I don't think its a trans issue.

Brakes maybe? could it be a bearing?

I have the same noise with my 14 bolt I think it's the brake pads but could be the hub. I may get a barn day this weekend so ill let you know
