I have a 1990 K5 on 35s with stock 10 bolt rear end- questions- tonight i think i probably blew out either my spider gears or an axle shaft. I was going in reverse earlier when it made a grinding pop noise, then later that night put it in gear and Ka-bam. I haven't pulled the diff cover yet to inspect, it is sitting at school tonight until i can go there tommorow... questions i have a 241 transfer case- correct? this has a slip yoke doesnt it, so if i just pull my driveshaft will the transfer case fluid leak all over on the way? also because it is C-clips holding it in am i at risk of the wheeling coming out if i just drive home in 4wd with just the front wheels?

This is what happened when my gov- bomb blew, and the c-clips fell out.
