Rear end question

Ok I took my truck to a shop here in durham NC With the idea the rearend was blown. Well it turns out that the rear end leaked out all the fluid and filled with water/mud. Well everything was still ok except the pinion bearing had gone bad and started to wallow out the housing. So now i have nothing to drive and the junkyards in this area suck. they have 0 10 bolt rears with 3.42 gears. What do yall think I should do? /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

buy a 10 bolt bare housing... and have your gears, carrier swapped over with ALL NEW bearings and seals

Since I'm swapping in a 14 ff rear with 4.56's soon, you could buy my 10 bolt rear with 3.42's. The only problem with that is, that I may not have it out from under the truck for 2 or 3 months. If you still havent gotten it fixed by then, and still need one, remember my name, since I am in Greensboro.
