i got a 73 blazer that has a lot of rust inthe rear quaters and it really isnt fixable unless i put in new quarters so iam looking on how high i can cut it and still have the look of a wheel well so any pictures would be great thanks
trustyk5 that is perfect on the sides of the wheel well i can cut the fender just like yours to get rid of the rust but need to know what to do about the top of the fender . i can cut the top but dont know what to do with the inner fender .cause if icut it it will look like too fenders if you know what i mean?
I cut the inside a bit higher than the outside. This leaves a nice clean appearance from the outside. This also leaves a large open area for water and debris to drop out without collecting up there and making more rust problems.
I think the top of my arch is 3.5" down from the body line. If you look at the pic you'll see both front and rear openings are the same height now.
well i cut 3 and 3/4 inches all the way around the wheel well and i can tell dy looking at the top how to cut higher so you dont see the inner fender but cant figure how to do the sides of the inner fender? so they dont show? any one got close up pictures of the rear fender trimmed that much? thanks
