rear gears up front ???

I read somewhere about reverse cut gears for the for the front diff,,, what the ??? sounds like a Heep thing. Somebody help me here, can I use a ring and pinion from a rear diff in a front diff??? 10 bolt.

8.5 ring gear front and back same gearset between 10-bolts.

carrier break is 2.56/2.73

You need a high pinion center section to run the reverse cut gears. The Dana 30 fronts in YJ and some Ford Dana 44 &amp; 60s used them. You can also get them custom made.
