So i’m rebuilding a 77 blazer and in pulling out the interior i threw out the original panels. Does anyone have like a pattern to build them yourself or some where that sells them for decent prices?

I think someone had shared a pattern on here before with detailed measurements

my big question on this topic is: what is everyone making the new panels out of?

I will be making new ones in the near future but my originals have a radius at the front to sort of seal up at the back of the doors. plywood doesnt seem like an option AND have that radius at the front.

I am debating on a composite of some sort for mine (to incorporate this radius and make it a higher quality finish) but then you cant staple the material you are wrapping on the back side to prevent it from coming loose...

Mine are plywood, fiberglass and a metal section recycled.

It took some back cuts etc to form it

I just cut some for my 82 and put them in. Just used 1/4 ply and the Home Depo indoor/outdoor carpet. Also insulated them.

I made a set of custom panels out of masonite. I think I have a link for a set. Always use masonite because MDF will fall apart if they get wet or damp. Plywood is a pain in the $#@ to work with.

I also used 1/4 plywood. Used the old panels as templates (they're identical side-to-side except for the fuel neck on the passenger side). Bought the fabric online and used foam backing with spray on glue

When I did mine in my 75 I used masonite and reused all the OG vinyl and the sheet metal front piece that gives it that form. The paperboard had started breaking down but the vinyl and metal pieces were still in good shape. Might want to dissect the originals and see what they did and/or use it to build a form for a composite or fiberglass even.
